When it comes to decision making, I love the acronym BRAIN

• B - benefits?
• R - risks?
• A - alternatives?
• I - intuition?
• N - now?

Each letter of BRAIN helps families remember to ask a  question, or series of questions, that help them become as informed as possible to make the best decision possible.

Again, there are no right or wrong decisions, but there are informed + consensual ones, which are the ones that make a family feel  good... And in my books, that's one of the biggest and most important elements of having an empowering, fulfilling, trauma-free birth experience.
