There's a lot to be said about being able to chill out in labour.
Entering a calm, relaxed state is incredibly beneficial for both the birther and baby, and the more a birther can have their space protected and the more they're encouraged to stay breezy and tranquil. the more likely they're going to be able to achieve the birth experience they desire (regardless of whether it's unmedicated or with an epidural, vaginal or cesarean, at home or in the hospital).
Here are two scripts for relaxation that you can use to practice entering this deep, calm state before labour (and maybe even use during labour too!)
The first is the tense-release activity we did in class, and the second is a hypnobirthing script that also includes some visualization.
